April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born on July 4th April, 1995. When she was in the 7th grade, she started taking piano and guitar lessons. That ignited her enthusiasm for music writing. When she was 12 years old, April composed her first single Different. When she was 14 April, she spent a lot of time writing lyrics and perfecting her musical ability. Soon after she began taking trips to write with father, who lived in NY in New York and LA. The month also saw her include other related topics for some of her peers who are dealing in the area of bullying by peers and teen suicide in the song"Take my Hand. Lockhart has her own following and also works as an online lifestyle blogger for the renowned Ilia clean beauty brand. She has a disability that is a component of her persona, however it's not all of the image. Lockhart doesn't deny her disability on Instagram, but she does not make it the main focus of the post. It's a message. The message? That we each contain multitudes, that our identities and physical selves are not all that they appear. Lockhart, via video message from Nashville home, states that I don't wish for my physical appearance to define myself. I am greater than the physical person I am. It doesn't impact my day-to-day life I do things normally, and I've discovered my own method of adjusting the things. Because it's my identity, it's something that's worthy of talking about. Lockhart has served as an excellent inspiration to her fellow women regarding acceptance of oneself. However, she acknowledges going through phases with her body, at times, not being confident in wearing certain types of clothing that showed how much of her body. She dresses according to her preferences and is proud to post pictures of herself dressed in outfits she wears on social platforms. Self-love she said is a kind of journey. "I believe that you'll ever get there," she said. It's the same for everybody regardless of the level of insecurity.
