Katherine Heigl admits her childhood in a white bubble, and how this experience impacted how she raised her adopted multiracial children. The actress "Firefly Lane" told a reporter that it did not matter how dark her skin color was to her. After meeting her adopted Korean American older sister she realized the difference in the way people were treated by her. "I I asked my sister Meg whether she'd received the same treatment when she was going out with us parents and in a different manner when she went out on her own without anyone else. Meg replied: "Oh Sure, I've witnessed the whole thing and I've been there all the time! Heigl told her parents it made her realize just how foolish she was. According to the actor she became furious. She wanted to channel that anger towards helping her adopted girls. Heigl has a son who is four year with Josh Kelley, her husband over the last 13 years. They adopted their daughter Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide 8 years old and Black, in 2012.
